The Corrente
Comunista Revolucionária-CCR, Brazilian section of RCIT, expresses
its regret and vehement repudiation of the murder of human rights activist and
city councilor Marielle Franco (PSOL-RJ) and driver Anderson Gomes, in the
center of Rio de Janeiro, (14).
To family, friends,
companions of militancy, we express our solidarity in
this moment of pain and consternation.
Recently, Marielle
was named rapporteur of the commission that would have to monitor
the military intervention in the public security of the state of Rio de Janeiro
and was denouncing abuse of authority and violence by members of
the Military Police of RJ against residents of the slum
Community named Acari in the city of Rio de Janeiro.
We demand a full
investigation of this heinous crime and the punishment of the culprits. We call
for the immediate withdrawal of all the Military Police from the favellas. We
call the workers movement and popular organizations not to trust in the state
authorities but to organize guards in order to provide security for its
leaders.
The Corrente
Comunista Revolucionária convenes the workers to the acts and
manifestations throughout the country in protest against the
execution of Marielle.

repúdio ao assassinato da vereadora e
ativista de direitos humanos
Marielle Franco (PSOL-RJ) e do motorista Anderson Gomes, no centro do Rio de
Janeiro.
Aos familiares, amigos,
companheiros de militância, expressamos nossa solidariedade neste momento de
dor e consternação.
Recentemente, Marielle foi
nomeada relatora da comissão que tinha como tarefa monitorar a intervenção
militar na segurança pública do estado do Rio de Janeiro e denunciava abusos de
autoridade e violência por membros da Polícia Militar de RJ contra residentes
da comunidade de Acari na cidade do Rio
de Janeiro.
Exigimos uma investigação
completa sobre este crime hediondo e a punição dos culpados. Pedimos a retirada
imediata de toda a Polícia Militar das comunidades. Chamamos o movimento dos
trabalhadores e as organizações populares a não confiarem nas autoridades
estaduais, mas a organizar-se para garantir a segurança de seus líderes.
A Corrente Comunista
Revolucionária convoca os trabalhadores para os atos e manifestações em todo o
país em protesto contra a execução de Marielle.
